Conflict of interest policy
What is our general policy on conflicts of interest? Concrete conflicts of interest that arise are reported to the management of the company and to the person responsible for managing conflicts of interest.
The management of the company can take the following two types of management measures in order to prevent conflicts of interest:
- Monitor individually those whose main task involves an increased risk of conflicts of interest;
- Define employee compensation schemes that discourage conflicts of interest.
We systematically check whether the conflict of interest does not prevent us from acting in a loyal, fair and professional manner. Our company, if it considers that it cannot intervene due to a conflict of interest, reserves the right to refuse or cease the provision of services.
In general, the company adopts the following principles as a policy for preventing conflicts of interest:
- "Leadership by example"
The management committee and senior managers of our company respect the prevailing values in the prevention and management of conflicts of interest and implement this policy in practice. Management refrains from asking employees to deviate from the rules of the conflicts of interest policy.
- Internal organization
Matthieu Remy, CEO of easyvest, has been appointed responsible for managing conflicts of interest within our company.
- Customer first
Our company is committed in an honest, fair and professional manner to defend the interests of the client.
Our company and the people associated with it put the interests of the client first. We therefore scrupulously ensure that customer service is loyal, fair and professional. With this in mind, we always intend to treat customers objectively and respect the principle of non-discrimination.
- One employee, one activity
The management, workers and sub-agents of our company cannot develop, or can only develop in a limited way, ancillary activities which would constitute a real or potential conflict of interest for the company of an agency client. All ancillary activities of the aforementioned persons must be communicated to the person responsible for the management of conflicts of interest.
- Staff training and prevention
Our company provides adequate training for its employees so that they are fully informed of their responsibilities and obligations and that they are able to properly manage conflicts of interest. Our company will have a clear policy in this regard.
- Remuneration policy
Our company defines an adequate policy with regard to the remuneration of its employees, which also explains whether, and to what extent, gifts and benefits in kind can be accepted by our company, its employees and related persons.
- Impartiality of advice
In terms of advice policy based on an impartial analysis, our company formulates its advice on the basis of a framework of recommendations documented publicly on our website and implemented in our simulation tool. The purpose of this is to provide the same advice grid impartially and systematically to all clients.
