Meet Quentin from easyvest

Quentin Petit, 34 years old. Home : Brussels. Title : Head of Legal.

Meet Quentin from easyvest

How did your collaboration with easyvest start?

I was already interested in fintechs as a lawyer for Buyle Legal, specializing in banking and financial law. It was a line of professional development for me. From there Charles - the CTO of easyvest, who is also a friend from college - convinced me to join the project, first as a consultant. At that time, with two partners, I had launched Handyfriend, a platform for connecting families of dependent persons with caregivers. Combining that with a consultant role was ideal. Later, because of Covid-19, we sold Handyfriend, and at the same time, easyvest accelerated its growth, which allowed me to devote myself 100% to it.

What is your role?

As Head of Legal, I am responsible for the company's compliance with legal requirements but also with its own promises. People trust us with their money, we owe it to ourselves to be exemplary. Our industry is subject to extremely demanding and evolving regulations : we must constantly guide the company. Eventually, my role is also to defend easyvest interests in negotiations with third parties, commercial partners, the regulator, etc.

What kind of investor are you?

I am mostly careful and a bit playful. In fact, I invest mainly in funds and trackers, which allow me to have a diversified portfolio. Besides, because it amuses me and because I like to learn about specific securities or cryptocurrencies, I try a few riskier moves. But it stays on small amounts of money and never for long.

What is a good colleague for you?

Someone who is listening when it comes time to start collaborating - whether it's a meeting or even a simple email. Who wants to find a common solution rather than impose its truth. And most of all, someone you can laugh with.

When you tell your friends about easyvest, you say ...

That this is a project that is going to be successful and that they would do well to invest in. For financial performance of course, but not only: I believe that easyvest support strategy, throughout the entire life of the investor, is something unique they should bet on.
